Micaela Govender crowned as Zee World Miss Teen Commonwealth SA 2017

Johannesburg – Zee World in association with Miss Teen Commonwealth South Africa is thrilled to announce Micaela Govender as Zee World Miss Teen Commonwealth South Africa 2017. The grand finale of the pageant was held over the weekend at Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria.

The young beauty with brains was chosen from 23 contestants and crowned by her gracious predecessor Asanda Mchunu. Asanda wished the newly crowned Micaela Govender a successful reign and encouraged her to inspire fellow youth.

Zee World Miss Teen Commonwealth South Africa is a leadership programme where teens are mentored in public speaking, leadership and modelling. The purpose is to instil confidence and encourage leadership skills, so that they can make a difference in their own communities.

Founder and national director of the pageant Anel De Swardt, herself an ex Mrs. Commonwealth title holder stood proudly behind “the class of 2017 young ladies” and hosted the pageant with typical class and elegance.
